I have an enduring passion for cacti and greenhouses, they are somehow other-worldly to me and since moving to Woking, I have visited Wisley times and have become a member of the British Cactus and Succulent Society. Being a member enables me to visit other local member's greenhouses during the summer and I have become fascinated by not only the cacti themselves but also the processes involved. I love to see the bottles of methylated spirits, the tweezers and the recently grafted cacti dotted around the greenhouses.
